Refund & Cancellation Policy

Sri Venkateshwara University (SVUS), Sikkim, has established this Refund and Cancellation Policy in accordance with the guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and applicable regulatory norms. Students are advised to read this policy carefully before completing the admission process.
Important: The registration fee paid at the time of applying online is non-refundable under any circumstances. Refund eligibility applies only to tuition and programme fees paid after formal admission confirmation.
1. Registration Fee
The registration/application fee paid during the online admission process is strictly non-refundable, regardless of whether the admission is confirmed, cancelled, or rejected. This fee covers administrative and processing costs.
2. Refund of Tuition / Programme Fee
Refunds of tuition and programme fees are processed as per the following schedule, in line with UGC guidelines:

3. Cancellation Process
To initiate a cancellation and refund request, the student must:
- Submit a written application to the Admission Office at admissions@svus.edu.in
- Include the Enrollment/Application ID, full name, course name, and reason for cancellation
- Attach a copy of the fee payment receipt
- Provide bank account details for refund processing (account holder name, account number, IFSC code)
Requests submitted without the above information will not be processed.
4. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds will be processed within 15–30 working days from the date of approval. Refunds will be credited to the original payment source or via bank transfer as provided by the student.
5. Non-Refundable Fees
The following fees are non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Online registration/application fee
- Prospectus fee
- Entrance examination fee (if applicable)
- Identity card and library charges (once issued)
- Any fee paid for duplicate documents or certificates
6. Cancellation Due to University Action
In cases where the university cancels a programme or batch due to insufficient enrolment or administrative reasons, a full refund of all fees paid will be provided to the affected students within 30 working days.
7. Online Payment Issues
If a payment is debited from your account but not reflected in the admission portal, please contact us within 48 hours at accounts@svus.edu.in with the transaction reference number. Such cases are resolved within 7 working days.
8. Changes to This Policy
SVUS reserves the right to revise this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Students will be notified of any significant changes via the university website and official email communication.
