Finance Committee


The Finance Committee of Sri Venkateshwara University is the principal body responsible for overseeing the University’s financial planning, budgeting, and expenditure. The Committee ensures fiscal discipline, transparency, and accountability in the management of funds, while providing strategic guidance to support the University’s academic growth and infrastructure development.

Functions of the Finance Committee
  • Examine and recommend the annual budget estimates and University expenditures to the Board of Governing.
  • Review financial proposals, the creation of new posts, and any expenditures not included in the approved budget.
  • Provide advice on financial management, planning, and utilization of funds for academic and infrastructural initiatives.
  • Recommend audited accounts, revised estimates, and other significant financial decisions to the Board of Governing.
  • Ensure financial discipline, transparency, and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate the University’s annual budget and financial estimates.
  • Review and recommend proposals for capital expenditure and new initiatives.
  • Monitor income, expenditure, and the utilization of funds across all departments.
  • Recommend policies related to fees, grants, scholarships, and endowments.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and audit requirements.
  • Provide guidance on resource mobilization and long-term financial sustainability.
