Vice Chancellor’s Message
Dear Students, Faculty, and Friends,
It is both an honour and a profound responsibility to serve as the first Vice Chancellor of this emerging and ambitious university. With this role comes the opportunity to shape an institution that not only meets the needs of our region but also rises to the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing global landscape.
In today’s interconnected world, universities must serve as engines of knowledge, innovation, and societal progress. Our mission is to build a university that is globally aligned, socially responsive, and academically excellent an institution that prepares students and researchers not just for local relevance, but for global leadership.
We are committed to delivering world-class education by integrating cutting-edge research, global knowledge, and international best practices into our academic programs. Our goal is to provide a learning experience that develops globally aware citizens who can adapt, lead, and innovate across borders and cultures.
Innovation today transcends boundaries. We will create an ecosystem that encourages entrepreneurship, interdisciplinary thinking, and international collaboration. By establishing Centres of Excellence in critical global areas—such as AI, sustainability, health tech, and digital transformation we will connect academia with industry, government, and global networks to drive impactful research and innovation.
As we serve our communities, we must also recognize our role in addressing global challenges—from climate change and public health to digital equity and inclusive growth. Through community engagement, social innovation, and skills development, we aim to contribute meaningfully to both local development and global well-being.
Our students are at the heart of this vision. We will provide them not only with modern curricula and essential skills, but also with the values and global perspectives needed to become responsible global citizens.
